You could try this (untested):
Codec Tweak Tool > MS Codec Tweaks > Disable the MS DTV-DVD audio and video decoders.

Can you upload a file that has this problem? Or link to a torrent.

I have the exact same issue! Happened today after installing 5 new critical updates.

Everything else seems to work although I have not exhaustively tested it.
