Centre channel sometimes crackles when playing stereo files in 5.1
Hello everyone.
When I play stereo files using K-lite Codec Pack using the dolby prologic ii codec, some files sound a bit strange: only the centre channel sounds a bit distorted, the other channels sound fine, though bass notes sometimes cause distortion as well. Is this normal? How can I solve the centre channel problem? Why does the original stereo source sound fine but distorted in 5.1? Why doesn't this happen with all files?
Kind regards
Vincent

Re: Centre channel sometimes crackles when playing stereo files in 5.1
Could be caused by overflows due to high volume.
Try normal 5.1 output instead of DPL:
3/0/2 + LFE
enable "expand stereo to center" and "expand stereo to surround"
