Please put other classic controls back onto the playback control bar, as well as add option to force the default subtitle track number with-in the same chosen default subtitle language.

Please intergrate the next file and previous face buttons back onto the playback control bar of Media Player Classic, as well as the repeat 1 and repeat all options.

I like having such buttons directly on the playback control bar. They are standard to me as well as others for a media player.

Perhaps add an option for a smaller second playback, "advance" control bar, directly below it. The second bar having the audio and subtitle track options.

sidenote: many foreign videos wth eng subtiles for some reason have the actual english dialog for the audio listed as the second eng file, the first being to used exclusively to translate signs and/or a shows opening or endings music. which makes switching the subtitle default track to eng pointless for most.

Out of all of these features; the most helpful would be to add the ability to force the same subtitle track number, within a specific language grouping when switching files. the correct english subtitle track for many foreign videos dialog is usually listed as the second english track. Rarely do I have to use the others. Its very annoying to have to keep switching to the correct english subtitle file listed when multiple are present on videos within the same playlist and/or file.

The control bar layout has been the exact same for 20 years and it is going to stay that way. End of discussion.

You can adjust the default track with the header editor of MkvToolNix.

The language selection settings in LAV Splitter allow you to use part of track title in selection. See bottom of this page:
