MPC-HC: Sending Ctrl+G sequence from another program Empty MPC-HC: Sending Ctrl+G sequence from another program

Hi
In the absence of full EDL support by MPC-HC, I'm trying to send characters from another program so that I can emulate an EDL mechanism (i.e. skipping sections of a recording). This obviously won't be as good as doing it directly in MPC-HC but will suffice for my needs.

Although I can send Ctrl+g followed by the time e.g. 00:10:15 and a TAB to position to the "Go!" button, I can't press the button using VK_Return or VK_Enter
I also can't find the button using EnumerateControls so I am unable to poke it with a Click message.
[edit] You can test this behaviour using the keyboard, just Ctrl+g, TAB, TAB to position to the "Go!" button - then try pressing Enter (requires a mouse click to action)" [/edit]

Is there any chance that these two "Go!" buttons could be changed so that they will respond to an Enter key?
[edit] This might be an issue as there is no default button and theu both have the same caption[/edit]
If not, I could just restart the video at the required point (but that is a bit of an overkill).

I've played with the EDL mechanism in MPC-HC but can't find a way to save it's definitions to a file. Is this possible? (if so, I could use it to create the file and then process it myself)

Many thanks
Geoff
PS: Using latest version MPC-HC (64-bit)  Version: 2.3.6.24 (06484ae86)

Options > Player > Keys > EDL Save

The player also supports external chapter file in .xchp format (see details in MPC-HC changelog).

Many thanks for the tip about .xchp (MPC didn't indicate that he had saved it so I assumed the action had been ignored and omitted to look in the folder containing the recording).

Cheers
