Unable to play .tivo files

Hi,
For years I’ve used your codec downloads to successfully play my .tivo files in Windows Media Player. I just bought a new laptop with Windows 11. I downloaded the latest Standard K-Lite Codec Pack as well as the supporting media foundation codecs. The file opens in Windows Media Player Legacy and plays the audio clearly and audibly, it just won’t play the video. Usually I’m able to resolve this by downloading the MPEG-2 Video Extension, but it’s still not playing video.
I tried playing the file with both Media Player Classic and VLC Media Player as well; both play stuttering video (can’t really see a picture) and there is no sound. I then tried changing the file from .tivo to .video and tried all players again without success. WMP Legacy continues to play audio but no video. Wondering if you have any other suggestions I might try. (I looked in the FAQ and didn’t see anything addressing this issue/related to .tivo recordings). Please note, I’m a novice/regular person who can follow directions and has been able to get this to work successfully many times in the past with the help of your downloads and your website.

Tivo files contain encrypted video. You need a special filter and decryption key to play them.

Thank you. I already have Tivo Desktop; it was the first thing I installed, and installation of that was successful. Tivo Desktop is where I go to access the files when I want to play them easily in WPM Legacy. I'll try the other tools mentioned and report back.

Maybe the decryption key was not configured correctly?

Try playing with the MPC-HC player from K-Lite. When installing make sure to also install the 32-bit version of the player, and use that to play the tivo files, because the decryption filter from Tivo Desktop is almost certainly 32-bit as well.

Your filter list above shows that the tivo filter is 100% certain 32-bit only, so 32-bit player is indeed required.
