after update to 1855 no more volume control
After I updated to 1855 I can no longer control the volume using the volume control of the media player classic player. The control has zero effect on volume and even Windows volume control is either 0 or 100% volume. However, if i play the same video or music using VLC player all controls work properly. This is only happening using MPC player. I have selected every output source available and tried every audio renderer available and nothing I change has had any effect.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Did you enable bitstreaming in the audio decoder settings? In that case your receiver is responsible for decoding and volume control.
Do a fresh installation of the codec pack to reset settings to defaults.

Thank you for your reply. I did an uninstall using Revo and then reinstalled and chose default settings. However, the issue persists. I am at a complete loss. I like mpc and how easy it is to use especially in regards to how playlists work and how intuitive all the controls are in mpc. MPC has spoiled me and I just dislike using any other players.

Maybe this helps:
Codec Tweak Tool > Fixes > Reset Windows Audio Mixer volume
Do no use products like Revo. They can break your system and make unwanted changes and removals. K-lite has a properly working uninstaller.
