how do we disable duration being saved in playlists?

hi, i really don't want the duration of playlist items saved in my .mpcpl files.

it's a pain to have to manually edit out all those lines, especially when some of my playlists have over 100 music tracks, and i don't want to have to restore backups of the playlists.

so if this is a new automatic feature, please give up the option of disabling it.

Not possible to disable it. It is only added to existing playlist if you re-save it. And only for entries for which the duration is known.

Why is storing duration a problem?

it's a problem for me because the playlist window size i use results in some of the file names, like part numbers of a video series, being covered up by the duration.

i can take a screen image to demonstrate this if need be?

if it has to be stored, couldn't we just hover over the items in the playlist to see the duration rather than them being displayed the whole time?

You can increase size of playlist. You can move it to different position (top/bottom/left/right). You can even drag it outside of player window.

There will be no option for not storing duration. Once a file is played it also shows duration.
