video started from second display is cropped...

Hello,
So when I start a video from the 2nd screen I only see like 1/4 of it so I have to drag the window over and restart the video... Is there a fix for this?

What are your monitor resolutions?
Are you opening player first and then a file? Or clicking on file in Explorer?
Does it happen in windowed mode or in fullscreen?

The primary one is 4096x2160 and the 2nd one is 1920x1080.. If the player is on the 2nd display(remembered position) it happens in windowed or fullscreen.  If I start it on 1st display and drag it over its fine but then the next file to play it will happen again..

I tried changing the relative screen positions but didn't seem to make a difference.

Press Ctrl+J to display the video renderer debug overlay and make a screenshot.

Make sure you use this setting:
MPC-HC menu > View > Video frame > Touch window from inside

theres 1 from 1st screen..(normal)




and  on the 2nd display...(cropped)

and its on "touch window from inside"..
It's not a big deal if nothing can be done, I appreciate you looking into it.

so.. I didn't see it in the list there but, I saw it in "add external filter" and selected it and to my amazement it seems to have fixed it.(!)

I checked for updates only to be brought to the 2017 end page...
where should I be looking for updates.. I dont even remember how I ended up at this forum, but I saw people asking for things that already exist and thought, what the heck.

Selecting it in external filters is wrong. It also means that you are using an old version of MPC-HC!

Uninstall MPC-HC and the codec pack, and then update to latest version of the K-Lite Codec Pack.
