Several Issues after Upgrading

So I upgraded like I normally do, once a month, and the newest update broke everything, so I went back to an earlier version (April).

Thing is, now I still have 2 problems to restore the player to its former glory and they are very annoying.

The first issue is, whenever I start the player with a Fullscreen Playback on my second Monitor, it now has another empty MPC-HC Window on my main screen. If I close that, it will close the video on my second Monitor as well. I do have the Option activated in Playback -> Fullscreen to turn the extra window invisible, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Any Ideas?

The Second issue is, that if I resume playback of a video, it pauses the playback when I open that video file. This does ONLY happen in Fullscreen and not in Window of Maximized Window. At the Moment, I just have it remember the location I placed the window last and have playback happen in maximized window, but this only for as long as these Issues persist.

I am running the Software on a Windows 11 PC (latest updates). Any help would be appreciated.

You Sir, are a champion. That completely fixed BOTH issues for me.

Are you using any of the additional fullscreen options, such as changing monitor refresh mode and delay?

I wonder if that might be related to the pause issue which I can not yet reproduce.

No, I did not. The Pause issue was fixed with the above advice as well. Also, when I upgraded to the newest version, the Pause Issue wasn't there anymore as well, even in non-fullscreen mode. What I do have an issue with is that WHEN I do update to the latest version, my Eventghost does not work anymore to register the correct window for remote controls. Whenever I push a button then, a new empty Media window opens instead of interacting with the current one.

I don't know if you know of a solution for that one as well, so I will refrain from updating to the newest version for now because the April version works fine. It is a more complicated issue because another program that captures events from my IR Remote (eventghost) does this, so I have no idea if you have any idea on what is the reason for causing this interaction.

Eventghost is probably using the remote control API wrong. I suspect it calls the player .exe with /slave parameter. When doing this, all further control must be done using window messages. But instead it probably calls the .exe again. It should omit /slave parameter in that case.

The Pause issue did not happen with the newest version so I assume it is a bug of the April/June version for some reason.

As for Eventghost, it does not seem like it uses any parameters - at least not visibly. This issue only happens with the latest version of the K-Lite Codec pack. All previous versions never had any issue with it. If that is the case, I do not see how to chance any of it in the programm.

FullScreenSeparateControls was disabled by default in the past.

There was a change in the player regarding remote control, but that should not have any effect unless applications are using the API wrong. I don't know or use Eventghost, so I have no idea how it works with regard to MPC-HC. But likely it does something wrong, even if it seemed to work in the past.

In any case, that made the player unusable for me. Eventghost hasn't been updated in years, so there is no hope on a fix on their side and if this can't be fixed with the current version or unless a comparable program with the same functionality comes around, that sadly means I can no longer update the codec pack.
