Windows on ARM support? Empty Windows on ARM support?

Post by appex213 Sat Jun 15, 2024 7:20 am

Hi, I'm planning to buy one of the upcoming Snapdragon X laptops and was wondering if the codec pack and mpc-hc supports ARM based windows installations? is there any native support, or does it run through emulation?

I tried looking around but couldn't find any info about ARM based OSs, so any info would be appreciated.

It will use the x86 emulation ability of Windows. Hardware decoding for video is supported, so performance should be fine. Let me know if you encounter any issues, since I can't test on ARM myself.

There is no native support for ARM and it is very unlikely that it will ever be supported.
