Thumbnail Spacing in Windows Explorer is broken, any fixes?
So i had this resolved on my old pc, but after getting a new one the issue is back and i forgot how i fixed it, anyone know about this issue and how to fix, on Windows 10
What it looks like
What it should look like
I read this as well, and it seems K-Lite is the culprit

It is not the fault of K-Lite, nor of the Icaros thumbnail plugin that is used. Explorer itself is responsible for this padding while thumbnails are being generated. Refreshing (F5) usually removes the unnecessary space.

When i hit F5 nothing occurs at all, or try to refresh, the only way to fix this is ctrl and scroll wheel or hitting the folder name, if it hit f5 it immediately spaces it out again or leave the folder and come back it spaces it out as well.
Its rather annoying and doesnt seem like theres a solution anywhere, and i did uninstall k-lite to test, it isnt your fault like you said, thats what others said in the other post.
Any other solutions possibly?

Maybe this will help:
Right-click on folder > Properties > Customize > Optimize for = video
What it basically is doing is reserving space for thumbnails with different aspect ratio, such as vertical video or image.

Re: Thumbnail Spacing in Windows Explorer is broken, any fixes?
so i already have done the customization thing before, but i think your on to something on my old pc i did some registry edit from a forum along time ago that did something to the windows 10 customizations like a fix, and it solved that i believe, honestly dont know its been so long.
either way the customization didnt work, and tablet settings didnt work.
Im starting to hate being on Win10 when Win11 has a compact view, but win10 is still better lol
