Renaming to .video
On a configuration tips file we are advised to rename video files to .video. The idea being that MPC-HC is now forced to use Media Foundation codecs instead of the ones from Microsoft. Does this apply only to .mp4 and .mkv files, or to all other formats as well?
I renamed ALL videos, including .ts and .webm to .video. All of them work fine, but I'm not seeing a difference at all. Can anyone help or give some more information?

Read better. That advice is ONLY for the legacy Windows Media Player. A player that you should not be using.
No adjustments are needed at all for MPC-HC.
