Can't force subtitles position since last update
Hi there
Since the last update (Decembe 26th).
I can't force subtitle position. The override placement option doesn't change anything.
Every value I tried (horizontal and vertical), I'm getting the same result like the default (50:100, horizontal:vertical, respectively).
I'm using this option on a daily basis for many years, and I was surprised that suddenly this setting doesn't change the subtitles position.
I can still change the subtitles manually with hotkey I've applied, but only vertical.
I'll be very grateful for some advise please.
Thanks in advance
Update:
I've uninstalled the app, and reinstalled version 18.0.0 (MPC Ver: 2.1.3 December 13th), and it is working fine.
Later on today I'll try to update to the latest codec pack (standard) and see if it's ok.
Thanks again

What settings are you using and why?
Screen alignment & Margins option is usually better solution.

Override placement still works here. Which values are you using?

Yes, after downgrading to version 18.0, it's working.
I'm using the following values:
Horizontal: 50 Vertical: 100
But sometimes, I'm playing a video with 2 different subtitles, using Dircect Vobsub filter option, and then the setting is sometimes one of the subtitles at the top, and the other language at the bottom. And sometimes they are side by side (depending on the video file resolution):
1st language: Horizontal:25 vertical: 100
2nd language (via Direct Vobsub filter options): Horizontal: 75 vertical: 100
That's how I've noticed that it's not working after the last update.
Anyway, I'll update soon again, to the latest version and sed what happen.
Thanks again

Re: Can't force subtitles position since last update
Hey, I just updated to the latest patch (version 18.0.2 ~ 9.2 MB ~ December 26th 2023) and everything works fine now.
I guess I just had to uninstall and reinstall the software to fix it.
You guys are awesome! I'm a huge fan of Klite codecs, I've been using it for over 15 years, it's the best! MPC-HC is my favorite media player.
Thanks a lot and sorry for the trouble. Next time I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling first.
Cheers!
