Can’t get 7.1 sound from my soundbar

I use the Mega Pack. My soundbar is https://www.sony.gr/electronics/sound-bar/ht-zf9 and can’t get 7.1 sound and all forms plus atmos etc.
My laptop has realtek ati hdmi driver that supports all sounds! The maximum I can get is dts 5.1 but not through the Klite options , but through an external filter “AC3 filter” download. What am I doing wrong?
I have the soundbar since 2019 and no one can resolve my case!

Remove AC3Filter.

Codec Tweak Tool > Audio Output > Enable bitstreaming

Then click on the Windows Sound Settings button. There you should set Realtek Digital Output as default device.

Yes, with bitstreaming the compressed audio is send directly to your soundbar, which then does the decoding and sound processing.

If you connect computer to TV and then TV to soundbar, then the TV can be a limiting factor in what audio formats its supports.

Some TVs can only passthrough 5.1 AC3, 5.1 DTS, and stereo uncompressed.
For Atmos you need a TV with eARC instead of just plain ARC.

You do not have this problem if you do:
Computer -> Soundbar -> TV

The computer is connected to soundbar …and soundbar from arc to the tv - think is earc ….but i downloaded dolby atmos from microsoft and modified my laptop’s sound adding virtual surround and seems to work! I will have to test a movie to find out!

I think i have to setup from the beginning the Klite player( uninstall and reinstall)….and select specific settings….

No, default settings are fine. You only need to change bitstreaming.

Videos are probably giving bad advice for settings. It is usually idiots who make those videos.

You only need to change bitstreaming.....what do you mean about that,what is that ?

Select SaneAR Audio Renderer.
Then on "Internal Filters > Audio Renderer" page, select the ATI HDMI Audio Device.

The Dolby TrueHD box should be ticked.

I tried everything. In the first pic. truehd is ticked, outpout says:bitsteaming, no sound at all
Second, unticked, plays 7.1 out PCM !!!
and the 3rd pic is my REALTEK DRIVERS OYTPOUT SUPPORTS

I used KODI player as suggested from someone and told to choose WSAPI/ATI AHDMI OUTPUT and for a moment I got TRUEHD AND ATMOS SOUND...but the movie was not playing normally. So I was glad for a moment.
that means that there must be a way of getting this sound out of the laptop ... the thing is that I have no idea how this WSAPI works and how to set it. There are so many videos explaining and explaining but still can't understand how should i do it step by step from the beggining!

SaneAR Audio Renderer also uses WASAPI. That isn't the magic solution.

Your current settings are fine and it is bitstreaming. If sound is silent, then something must go wrong in the driver. These settings work properly for others.

Does other audio formats such as AC3 and DTS work correctly?

Yes they do since always...What makes Kodi different than K lite that I use years now ?

If you are suggesting that K-Lite is doing something wrong, then I can not help you.

K-Lite works correctly and bitstreaming TrueHD works perfect for hundreds of thousands of others.

Update your audio driver.
