MPC black blinking with 4k HDR

Hi

I'm using a new ultrawide monitor with a resolution of 3840*1600 and also HDR support, basically when I play a video with MPC on windows 11 and I click right key on the mouse for morse option or even if I navigato with the mouse to the progress bar, the screen blink witha black screen and after 2 seconds the image got back. I think that this is related to the HDR support. Any help?

Try MPC Video Renderer instead of MadVR.

Same problem with both

It is the fault of the graphics driver.

As a workaround you can enable HDR in Windows. Then everything is in HDR mode, and the seekbar does not trigger a mode switch.

Actually I have enabled HDR inside windows 11 and sadly it happens anyway ...it seems that there are some problems between windows HDR, AMD drivers and the media player

Report it to AMD.

You can also prevent it by disabling HDR passthrough in the video renderer settings. Then the video renderer will do tonemapping instead of your monitor.
