interactual player 2

I installed the K-lite basic and ended having the interactual player 2 wanting to be installed but it advises not to use it with Windows 10, so I didn't. Even after having uninstalled K-lite basic, I am still left with requesting to install interactual player 2 everytime I want to play a DVD. I would like to get rid of this program completely where it is not requesting to be installed. How do I get rid of this request to install the player?

Just to be clear, that player is not in any way related to the codec pack.

The interactual player is a piece of software that is stored on the DVD itself. Its installer is run through the "autorun" functionality of Windows for the DVD drive.

Click on the Windows start menu. Type "AutoPlay Settings". There you can turn off autoplay.

I just realized that because I was reading that k-lite basic does not install a player. Then I looked into the DVD where it has the installer. I heard this player does not work well. Thanks for replying. However, in installing K-lite basic, windows 10 itself warns you to not install it. Is this normal?

Windows shows a warning about the installer not being digitally signed. That is normal.

If you are using Windows 8/10/11, then you should know that Windows Media Player is NOT capable of playing DVDs. Not even with extra codecs installed.

You can use the player from K-Lite Standard.
