I want high/low pitch tone when changing video speed back

There used to be a function that automatically pitched the audio tone up when the video is sped up and pitched the audio tone down when the video is slowed down. I want it back SO hard. How to do it?

With the new version when I try to speed the video up the audio just... speeds up... and doesn't change its pitch tone whatsoever

Select Default DirectSound device if you do not want pitch correction.

The two internal renderers, SaneAR and MPC Audio Renderer, both apply pitch correction. That is what most people prefer.

No, you don't understand, I DO want pitch correction but I DO NOT have it. How to turn it on? I went to the "Audio Renderer" menu but I don't think I am looking in the right direction.

I have MPC selected in both video and audio but it still doesn't help. I guess the only solution is going back to older versions...

Ended up returning to 13.8.5 (August 23rd 2018). Best version. Problem solved.

Pitch correction works totally fine with latest version. I recommend using SaneAR.

You must restart playback after changing the renderer.
