Hi. When starting to render an .avi with the x264vfw codec, After Effects hangs for 2 seconds. Reinstalling K-Lite codec Pack and After Effects does not help. Can you suggest what is the problem?

Use a lossless codec such as Lagarith instead. Then later convert the AVI file to MP4 with H264 video with Handbrake or VirtualDub.
