Animated .webp not playing

Hello,
This is probably a silly thing to post about, but i do it cause i noticed the player supports .webp images (i dragged and dropped a random image just to see what happens), but when i dropped an animated .webp and it couldn't render it. My regular image viewer can play the animation.
The file comes from WhatsApp.
Using Windows 10 pro
K-Lite Codec Pack 17.5.2 Mega
Madvr renderer

Animated webp is not yet supported.
