Add Image Support [with WIC (Windows Imaging Codecs) API]
Support WIC, windows photo gallery/viewer, windows explorer etc. so no more codec packs/programs are additionally needed for images.
Currently there are various codecs from first party companies for RAW support, as well as some packs distributed by Microsoft with varying support/overlap.
New formats like WebP, JpegXL aren't supported.
https://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/ is the closest thing I've seen, but requires paying a license.
It would be helpful not needing to install a separate program, similar to how K-Lite enables windows media player to support different video and audio codecs.

Common image formats are already supported. Including WebP (non-animated).
For WIC support you can install this DirectShow filter:
https://github.com/v0lt/ImageSourceFilter
This may get included in the future.
For images there are good free specialized viewers such as IrfanView.
