MPEG2 DVD - MPCHC + LAV Video = no DXVA
K-Lite 17.5.2
Current versions of the player (2.0.0.30.2795a3284) and decoder (0.77.2.2-git).
Bug found - lack of DXVA when playing DVD (launch via VIDEO_TS.IFO). If you run VOB or MPG files directly, then DXVA works. If run through VIDEO_TS.IFO, then DXVA does not work.
For reference, I note that in BSPlayer the situation is the same.
If you replace LAV Video with "CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD10)" 8.4.1408 (clvsd.ax), then DXVA works.
I think it's in the LAV Video decoder itself. But it's easier for me to write to you than to write to the LAV Video forum. I understand you are in touch with the developer of LAV Video and now you are aware of the problem. Maybe you better contact him - I think it will be easier for you to solve it together. I think you have more knowledge about the player and you can tell him where to dig, which will speed up and simplify the solution to the problem.

Re: MPEG2 DVD - MPCHC + LAV Video = no DXVA
DXVA2 is intentionally disabled for DVD. It can cause problems (with menus) in rare cases. It is also pointless to use since SD MPEG-2 is super easy to decode with CPU.

It's a pity. Than tightly blocking, it would be better to provide a choice. Or is there a hidden option to enable DXVA2 for DVD?
