BUG: MPC-HC v2.0.0.28 (latest version) opens Multiple Players regardless of Single Player Setting.

When I open Video B in the middle of watching Video A in Player 1, normally that Video B would open in that same Player 1, after stopping Video A. But now, the Video B will open in Player 2, making the two Players playing at the same time.

I then checked on the 'View > Options > Player > Open Options'. The selected option there is still "USE THE SAME PLAYER FOR EACH MEDIA". So, that is the BUG that needs addressing in the next update.

It is not a bug in the player, so it can't be fixed by me.

Maybe you have accidentally enable a compatibility mode such as explicitly running it as administrator. Or something else, but problem is on your device.

If your antivirus or other software applies a sandbox, then that also causes this problem. The new process needs to be able to communicate with the existing mpc-hc process.

Apparently, my AV went through a major automatic upgrade--that I didn't know about until i was done--that caused this 'bug'. After things settle down, the behavior has been back as it ought to be again. Sorry for the false alarm.
