MPC HC audio enhancer?

Hello

im using latest Media Player Classic Home Cinema but Im not satisfied with audio quality from all sources.

Its any way to improve audio quality on MPC HC such as plug-in, enhancer, or filter to get some how better sound?

When Im compare sound from Winamp or Windows Media Player they are much better than sound from MPC HC...

MPC should give same quality as other players when not using any audio processing.

Perhaps you have enabled volume normalization?

With regard to plugins. ffdshow audio decoder supports Winamp DSP plugins. MPC itself has no plugin system.

im not using normalize. (but when I tryied it, I still dont hear desired audio enhancement)

Its there way to force all audio sources (mp3, ac3, flac, etc..) to be enhanced by ffdshow audio decoder with Winamp DSP plugins ?

Enable "uncompressed" audio in ffdshow and it will also process the audio decoded by other decoders. By default the pack already uses ffdshow for most audio formats.

Can u help me step by step ? I want use Winamp DSP.

first I need to switch on External Filters - Add Filter - ffdshow Audio Decoder or ffdshow Audio Processor?

i need to know How to force all audio sources be processed by ffdshow., its auto select AC3 filter to process audio.

Remove AC3Filter, or disable PCM and AC3 in its settings on the 'system' tab.

No need to mess with external filter settings in MPC. Enabling AC3 and Uncompressed in ffdshow should be enough.

im using 64b version of MPC and also 64b FFDSHOW...

now I have problem, in ffdshow audio decoder (x64) properties, on Winamp 2 tab - I see folder of Winamp but didnt see DSP plugin, also with 32bit checkbox its same, not seeing that DSP.

i try it also in 32bit ffdshow, there I can see this DSP I can select it, but that DSP isnt working, it just like "loaded" but dont working..

any advice for that?

You must use 32-bit version because the Winamp plugins are 32-bit. If loading the plugin has no effect, then I can't help you. The capabilities of the plugin system in ffdshow are limited.

Using x64 version of MPC-HC has no benefits. Just less compatibility.

Hello admin i'm using latest MPC 32-bit with ffdshow audio decoder but the DSP (Enhancer 0.17) doesn't working.
I try other media player (KMPlayer 32-bit & PotPlayer 32-bit) both working fine with Enhancer 0.17
can you help please, i like using MPC because the video quality is just fantastic.

I have put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\Plugins

It works here with 32-bit MPC-HC. The plugin shows up in ffdshow.

Still not working sir, I tried to maxed up everything in enhancer config but there was no difference, try reopen MPC, try other video.

It works here for stereo input. With multichannel audio I get very bad distortions. I think you must click on Power button in plugin to enable processing.

I can't help you. Both this enhancer plugin and ffdshow are very old and their development have stopped.
