Why is the gif tick in internal filters turned off?

Some of my gifs were playing in mpc with a lot of lag
When I turned on the gif tick in the internal filters section, the problem was solved
But why did the developer turn it off by default? Is there a problem? Because all ticks are enabled by default, except for gif and wmv
I don't think it's because the developer thinks few people will use it
Because some of the other options that have been checked are rarely used

Why is it disabled by default? Does being active cause a problem?

One of the benefits of the MS filter is that it supports setting a duration for non-animated gifs.

I understand that it is disabled by default because Microsoft's filters work better with GIFs, but there is an option to activate it so that we can activate it when needed (Microsoft's filters have malfunctioned due to user error or something else).

Of course, today I found out that a program called imageglass is great for GIFs and has many features for working with GIFs, so I downloaded it for GIFs.

If you can create a new gif that has the problem that is fine as well. I just want to test with a same file as you.
