Can't Download Codec Pack - I have read bypass info but it does not apply

Having been recommended to use K-Lite I tried to download as follows:-

On both Windows 10 and Windows 11, using both Chrome and Edge tried to download Standard Version. On all attempts the download "small message window" does not appear therefore cannot action suggested circumvent for new files.

Additionally, as a final attempt, I changed my firewall to temporarily turn off "intelligent download scanning" which checks to see if the file is new, etc


So can anyone please help

Click on the download button (downward arrow) in Edge toolbar and it should show the blocked download. Highlight it and click on the three dots that appear behind the filename.
