Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
After installing any Mega version higher than 16.5.3, using hardware to decode 4K to 8K video severely freezes

Re: Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
Is it actually using hardware decoding? The player should show "H/W" in its status bar when that is active.
This videos is 8K at 60fps and 10bit. Are you sure you previously played files with exact same properties? This one is much harder to decode for the hardware than for example a 30fps video. I am not sure if your hardware even supports this.
Can you give me a link to that video?

Yes,The player show "H/W" in its status bar when that is active。
This is what happened after I reinstalled the new version of K-Lite Mega,It used to be good.
I just added another nvme hard disk, which made me mistakenly think that too many nvme hard disks occupied the PCIe channel of the graphics card, resulting in insufficient bandwidth of the graphics card, which caused this problem,Because this was not the case before.
I removed the nvme hard disk and rolled back the NVIDIA driver to rebuild the previous environment. Finally, I thought the problem was K-Lite. I installed it version by version, and I found this problem.I'm now in the K-Lite version 1653 and decoding is completely good
Here is the video .torrent]LINK
When you are under 18, please don't click it:)

Re: Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
I suspect it might be an issue with the video renderer.
MPC-HC menu > Play > Filters
Click on LAV Video Decoder. Verify that it uses DXVA2 Native (because Copyback is slower).
Then click on MPC Video Renderer to open its settings. Test if you get better performance when you uncheck the option "Use Direct3D 11".

Re: Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
It can be determined that the problem lies in MPC video renderer.
When use Direct3D 11 is selected, the problem I described will appear in any version of K-Lite.
Thank you
Should I report the problem to the producer of MPC video renderer?

Re: Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
Can you try version 16.6.8? The updated renderer has some potential performance improvements for D3D11.
http://codecguide.com/klcp_beta.htm
Press Ctrl+J to show the renderer debug overlay. Make a screenshot for me with both D3D11 enabled and disabled. That contains useful information for the developers. I can contact them about this issue.
In the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) you should see GPU usage details. Do you see any big differences with D3D11 on/off? Make a screenshot of that as well.
Finally test if D3D11 hardware decoding (instead of DXVA2) in LAV Video Decoder make any difference.

1:05am um.. Please take care to get enough sleep
The same situation with the MPC video renderer included in version 16.6.8,and here is what you want.
MPC video renderer D9 / LAV video renderer DXVA2
MPC video renderer D11 / LAV video renderer DXVA2
MPC video renderer D9 / LAV video renderer D11

Re: Any above 4k video freeze problem of Mega version higher than 16.5.3
Can you also do the D3D11 decoding combined with D3D11 in renderer?
