Video orientation and some codes issues
Hi.
I have recently installed the latest k-lite mega 16.6.2 and realized that all my videos which were recorded in portrait mode (taken on smartphones) became horizontal. even those I know were fine and I watched them before are now impossible to watch. I did a clean install of k-lite again with no success.
Also, videos can't be played with the native Photos App in Windows 10.
Then I installed an older version - 16.4.0 (randomly selected) and it fixed issues both with portrait mode and Photos App in Windows 10(some videos still have no picture, only sound).
Is this a bug or some config issue? Which settings should I check to find an issue?
System:Windows 10 Pro
Vers.: 21H1
Build: 19043.1387
Regards

Re: Video orientation and some codes issues
The rotation issue has been fixed in 16.6.3
The Photos App does not use the DirectShow type codecs that the pack installs. That requires Media Foundation codecs, which you can get here:

You need the HEVC one for your phone videos.
