Subtitles are not rendered anymore once player is moved to other monitor
Hi,
I have freshly updated my version of K-Lite Mega from 16.5.3 to 16.6.2 and I have noticed a rather annoying issue:
I have 2 monitors and when I open a video with subtitles, they are displayed perfectly on the startup monitor but as soon as I drag the player onto the second monitor the subtitles are disappearing - when I switch the window back they are still here.
I am using the MPC Video Renderer and practically left the default settings from the K-Lite Mega installer.
I tried to go and enable the "Reinitialize D3D device when changing display" from the MPC Video Renderer display properties without success, it even made the video not rendering anymore once dragged on the other monitor.
I downgraded to 16.5.3 and it works perfectly again.
Here is my log:
Thank you for your help!

Re: Subtitles are not rendered anymore once player is moved to other monitor
Can you copy the MpcVideoRenderer64.ax file from 16.5.3 and test if it works when you overwrite the one from 16.6.2?
Re: Subtitles are not rendered anymore once player is moved to other monitor
In MPCVR settings test with "Use Direct3D 11" disabled. That was disabled by default in the older version. That may fix the problem for you.

I tested with "Use Direct3D 11" disabled and it does fix the issue.
Does that mean the problem is located in the Mpc Video Renderer filter?

Yes, it is a bug in MPC Video Renderer. It doesn't like when the monitors have different resolution in DX11 mode. The subtitles are still rendered at the old size, so they fall outside the screen.
Re: Subtitles are not rendered anymore once player is moved to other monitor
Good to know, should a bug ticket be created on https://github.com/Aleksoid1978/VideoRenderer/issues ?
Does DX11 mode really changes anything since it was turned off until now?

The devs already know about this issue.
You can just run in DX9 mode. DX11 does not offer any real benefits in most situations.
