Hello. There is a shadow cover problem on subtitles from K-Lite Codec Pack Mega 16.0.5 till K-Lite Codec Pack Mega 16.3.3 Beta.

I had to reinstall K-Lite Codec Pack Mega 16.0.2 in order to resolve it, and now the problem is gone, everything is normal, but we hope the problem will be solved in future version of the K-Lite Codec Pack Mega, please keep up the good work. Thanks.

Does it happen with every video and every type of subtitles?

It works normally here. I can only fix it if I can reproduce the problem. So maybe you can upload an example video and subtitle that gives you the problem?

Hello. The problem appears in K-Lite Codec Pack Mega latest versions and only, if you have installed the Local Subtitles plugin for Windows Media Player, when you play multimedia in Windows Media Player. Thanks.
PS. ► The Local Subtitles is a plug-in for WMP9 and above, that shows local non-SAMI subtitles. Supports multiple subtitle files simultaneously. Not being a filter, it doesn't modify DS/MF pipeline and has no performance overhead. Specifically oriented on WMP12 - x86/x64, Windows 7/8/10
Supports Subtitles not only in Videos, but also in Audios, if they are in *.srt format. If you have installed also the VividLyrics plugin for Windows Media Player, and if there are *.lrc and *.srt for one file, then it shows both.

Either remove that plugin or disable DirectVobSub with Codec Tweak Tool. Using two subtitle plugins at same time is obviously a bad idea.

Thanks for information. However, the disabling of LocalSubtitles Plugin for Windows Media Player solves the problem, but the disabling of DirectVobSub filter - completely disables *.srt subtitles in videos.

That proves that Local Subtitles plugin is not working properly. I don't know why you installed that old abandoned plugin in the first place. Remove it and use DirectVobSub.

Hello. I've installed the Local Subtitles plugin, because it shows subtitles from *.srt files not only for video files, but even for audio files as mp3, mp4, aac, aiff, ape, flac, m4a, ogg, opus, wav, wma, webm.
★ Would it be more cool, if it would be possible for K-Lite Codec Pack Mega to display subtitles not only for video files, but also for audio files from *.srt and *.lrc files?

DirectVobSub only works with video. It will never work with audio files.
