player malfunction

i open up a video or music file it works perfectly ...but as soon as i open another video or audio file the audio does not come and video plays that's some issue that i really can't seem to figure out please help me out if you can ...thanks .if i close the video entirely then open another video or audio file it works and the audio also comes. (also when i run a setup file as admin rights in the background.... the audio of the file that i was playing stops itself and only the video keeps playing ) pleasee help !

This can maybe solve it:
Windows Control Panel (control.exe) > Sound > Speakers > Properties > Advanced > Disable the two exclusive mode options

Maybe disabling setting the system sound scheme to "no sounds" will help.
Windows Control Panel > Sound > Sounds tab > scheme = No sounds
