Media keys not working in MPC is in background Empty Media keys not working in MPC is in background

As it says in the title, the media keys on my keyboard and on my headset (for pause/play and similar) do not work on mpc when the program is in the background, they only work when it is the "focus". This is on my laptop, it works fine on my desktop. Any ideas for how to solve this?

MPC-HC options > Player > Keys > Enable Global Media Keys
