No subtitle when jumping back/forward
When jumping back or forward on a video, subtitles for that particular time will not be displayed.
I just recently installed MPC-HC and am using mostly default settings but have also tried changing the subtitle renderer and tried changing a few settings to try and resolve this without any success.
Is there any settings I can adjust to fix this?

Re: No subtitle when jumping back/forward
I assume you are talking about an (old) .mkv file with embedded subtitles.
The reason why the subtitle is not shown is because its data is stored in a point before where you are seeking to. The splitter can only know about the subtitle if the file contains information on where to find it. Old files usually do not contain that information.
So one solution is to get MkvToolNix and remux your file. That should add the missing information.
Otherwise there is no other choice than to seek back a bit further.

In my case it happens with newer files as well, but you are correct that the subtitles are embedded in the video.
Using MkvToolNix to remux the video without changing any of the settings seems to work.
Thanks
