Re: Can't play a strange flac file...
It seems to be a bug in the decoder. Possibly related to the embedded coverart. I will try to get this fixed.

I add another sample:

Your 2nd example played successfully for me in foobar2000, Audacity (version 2.3.2), and MPC-BE— but not in K-Lite's latest MPC 64— so I'm also curious about the solution regarding MPC.internlin wrote:I add another sample:

Btw, when I exported your FLAC file in Audacity to its original format, (meaning, I exported your original FLAC file to another FLAC file in a different location), MPC had no problem with it. However, that exported FLAC file didn't carry over the embedded image. This points to Admin's original diagnosis (about the issue being with the embedded image).
For now, I'd suggest exporting that flac audio file *without* the embedded image. If you want MPC to show that image after you export it, put that image in the same folder as the flac file and name the image either "folder.jpg" or "cover.jpg". When MPC plays that flac file, it will display the folder or cover image. (This is just a workaround until the permanent fix is released).

I've tried put cover.jpg in the same directory, but it still doesn't work.

First, here's your flac file that I re-exported - https://files.catbox.moe/jqymrs.flacinternlin wrote:I've tried put cover.jpg in the same directory, but it still doesn't work.
It plays without issues in mpc because I exported it without the embedded image. In the next image you can see the flac playing successfully and that it also shows the folder image - https://files.catbox.moe/cl2uho.jpg
This is the exported folder image I used: https://files.catbox.moe/kjnxcs.png
Btw, make sure you have this setting checked: https://files.catbox.moe/c9ns2r.png
