Where can I check if I'm using the right hardware accelarator : D3D11VA? This corresponds to Madvr as video renderer for Windows 10,

You can select the hardware decoder in the settings of LAV Video Decoder.

madVR is a video renderer. That processes the output from the decoder.
You can select madVR in the settings of MPC-HC:
Options > Playback > Output
