MPC-HC: Is there a way to turn off sound while seeking (scrubbing)?
Since recent updates to MPC-HC, the sound during scrubbing seems to have gotten much more aggressive: It seemed like, in the past, sound would play back only after scrubbing or fast-forwarding with increasing speed -- but, now, every single frame played produces sound, so that frame advancing becomes a very noisy affair.
I looked through the settings but failed to find an option to turn off sound while seeking (or scrubbing or fast forwarding). Is there one?
Thanks.

There is no option for that.
But you could try changing the audio renderer:
Options > Playback > Output
Use default DirectSound Device, which was used in the past.
