Issue with older mkv videos
I upgraded to Version 15.7.0 mega release. I use Zoom player as my video player. Now if I try to play an old mkv at least 5 years. It freezes forcing me to force close my player. New mkv play just fine. I have tried a fresh install and the issue remains, I rolled back to the last version and the files play fine with the older version. So I am lead to think something in this update is bugged.

Re: Issue with older mkv videos
Does it also happen when playing with MPC-HC?
Can you give a link to a file that gives problems? The old files I have all work fine.

MPC-HC seem to work just fine. As for a link that is a hard one since this is something on my system. Back when mkv was hot years ago I put my collection on my pc from dvd. I am sure the video it's self is not corrupt since I can watch it when I roll back to the previous version of klite mega.

Right-click on the file in Explorer and choose MediaInfo. Copy those details here. Maybe I can spot something unusual.
Perhaps you could upload one of the files to Dropbox or Google Drive? Or perhaps the file can still be found online somewhere.
Also try 15.7.4:

(Highlighted 3 shows where I had to scroll down for pic 2 sorry wouldn't fit in one shot.)

(This is a file I made with a converter program from the dvd I owned. I used alcohol 120%. My collection is not torrented or shared. That way the law doesn't come knocking.)
