Winamp + MP4 Playback Issue
I am having an issue playing MP4 videos in Winamp
When I play an MP4 file in Winamp, the audio playback is fine, but there is no video.
When I add ;MP4 to the Nullsoft Direct Show Decoder v1.08, the video appears, but all playback is 2x to 6x the normal speed, both audio and video.
Often tho, when the file is playing too fast, the video freezes on a single frame until playback ceases.
This has occurred with all MP4 videos I play through Winamp, however, I detailed one such song below.
Anyone have any idea how to correct this?
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Re: Winamp + MP4 Playback Issue
Speed is usually controlled by the audio renderer. So my first suggestion would be to try a different decoder for the audio.
Since it is an MP4 file, I will assume it contains AAC audio. You can check with MediaInfo to verify that. Winamp probably uses the preferred decoder settings of Windows 7, which means it is using the Microsoft AAC decoder. You can try changing the preferred decoder to ffdshow with the Win7DSFilterTweaker tool.

Re: Winamp + MP4 Playback Issue
According to Metadata Details, Codec's that are being used are:
Video: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part10) (avc1)
Audio: MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)

Re: Winamp + MP4 Playback Issue
That worked!
I went to Start> All Programs> K-Lite Codec Pack> Tools> Windows7DSFilterTweaker> Preferred decoders
Located AAC under 32-bit decoders, and selected ffdshow instead of Microsoft
Not only did it fix the MP4 speed problem, but it also fixed my .flv compatibility issue!
Thanks!
NOTE: In order for these setting to take effect, you must close and re-open Winamp
