When will update be ever to include VTT format subtitles?
VTT subtitle format has been popular for over the years.
I just cannot understand while it is not included with the Codec Pack for MPC-HC Media Player instead of taking too long to convert vtt to srt before watching videos....
I've always use MPC-HC Media Player and very much wish that it can play video with vtt subtitle.

The internal subtitle renderer of MPC-HC supports external .vtt subtitles.

Thank you for responding. Is it possible to update MPC-HC to supports .vtt as internal subtitles?
So that MPC-HC can play it automatically.

You mean WebVTT embedded in the video file? That is not yet supported. Only separate .vtt subtitle file.
It will be loaded automatically if you give it same name as video.
example_video.mp4
example_video.vtt

Re: When will update be ever to include VTT format subtitles?
I have tried as you have suggested with naming both video MP4 and vtt file as in same name but still not recognized the subtitle.
I have never used embedded vtt subtitle. I've always use separate video and subtitle with same name as with srt.
I am using MPC-HC Player version 1.7.13.112
I wonder if using the newest Player would make the difference?
Thanks in advance.

Re: When will update be ever to include VTT format subtitles?
I've just updated the latest MPC-HC Player today (after uninstalled the older one) and still not be able to play both video and vtt file (separate with same name).
So what need to be done to play both files?

The latest version of MPC-HC is included with the codec pack. You don't need to install it separately.
You must use the internal subtitle renderer of MPC-HC.
options > playback > output

Thank you for replying.
I did have "Internal Subtitle Renderer on in my option (pic below) and still cannot play separate vtt file (have same name as the video file)
