Bright distorted pixels splotches in MKV
Recently I've started using K-Lite Codec Pack Mega with Media classic player on my new computer, but when I watch mkv files I began to notice bright distorted pixels splotches in the corners of the screen. They are approximately 1 x 3 centimetres in size and sporadically appear just for a split second with 2-5 min interval (sometimes less often). I don't think it's a screen fault as I didn't get the same effects while doing anything else (playing games, watching online videos etc.). I also played the same videos which gave me troubles with VLC media player and everything works fine there. Can someone please help me with this?

Re: Bright distorted pixels splotches in MKV
I suspect it may be the fault of the video processing that is done by the Intel graphics driver.
Open the Intel graphics control panel and disable all video "enhancement" options. They have names like Skin Tone Ehancement, Edge Enhancement, Adaptive brightness, and so on.
VLC uses a different method of rendering, so these things usually don't get applied to it.
I also recommend updating the Intel driver.
You can also try a different renderer in Media Player Classic:
MPC options > Playback > Output > Video renderer > "MPC Video Renderer"
Or use the NVIDIA GPU:
Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings > select “Classic app” (mpc-hc64.exe) > High performance
