K-Lite Codec Pack Mega v15.4.4 Update Empty K-Lite Codec Pack Mega v15.4.4 Update

Hi,
It seems v15.4.4 update reset the settings even via Unattended Installation

For example I disable recent file history and it get enabled after the update, also Normalize get disabled

v15.4.0 if i remember correctly

Even if i install it over v15.4.4 same thing happens

There is an installation log file in your %TEMP% folder. Can you copy that here?

I see in the first log that it detected an issue with the current installation of LAV Splitter. In that case it performs a normal installation instead of a fast update. That means it replaces all files and re-applies all installation settings.

Are the settings in your current INI file different from the settings used for the original installation?
There is an option in the INI file to keep settings from existing installation.

keep_existing_settings_on_upgrade=1

Also what about second log ? i run the original installer again to check

I don't want to change installation settings, i just want to update and keep old settings saved like it always happen

It normally does that. But in this case it detected a problem and did a re-installation.

However, it should still keep almost all of the settings. But if you had keep history enabled in initial installation, and disabled it later in the player settings, then it gets reset to the value chosen during installation.

I will think about how this can be improved to maintain the actual settings in more cases if they differ from initial install settings.

I did a test in a clean system installed v15.4.0 then updated it to v15.4.4 and settings was saved

Not sure what could make issue with the current installation of LAV Splitter ! i never install other players or codec etc
