MPC-HC + Standard 1535 codec pack can't render H.265 security camera .avi files
Hi guys, i searched through the forum posts for HEVC and H.265 - didn't find quite what I'm after but hoping you can point me in the correct direction.
I have a cheapy home security video system now that saves camera clips as .avi files and seem to be encoded with H.265 video. However, trying to open any of them in MPC-HC after a fresh uninstall, reboot, and clean install of codec pack 1535 Standard (which I believe does have H.265 support) I get this error with any of the files (says it can't render some pins in the graph):
Which would seem be telling me that it can't decode this type of video.
What do you guys think?

ah I forgot to add the audio plays just fine but no video shows up at all.
Just tried to open them in the latest VLC player and it shows one frame of video only, during the entire duration of playback (audio also plays in VLC).

*.264 ip camera files
Hi fellows. I am having the same problem, but the original file is *.264. Downloading the file from the *cheap* chinese camera, my download folder show *.avi, with audio and video. Using VLC, doing some configurations and installing codecs, I am able to see, not hear. Converting these *.264 files to any other format, I get the same (no audio). Does anyone know what happen? Thanks in advance.

It probably simply does not contain audio. The extension .264 is used for raw video stream.
