Audio playback BUG
First of all, hi all.
I have been using MPC for some years now, but I just found a simple audio playback bug today.
Weeks ago, I finally got tired of those poor audio quality from soundcards and decided to finally go with an external one (DAC).
I was using it fine with this setting: 44.1kHz @ 32-bit.
Today, I decided to change to 384kHz (highest config posible under control panel > speakers).
Under VLC it works fine, even if the files are 44.1kHz, it playback @ 384kHz (as it should).
However on MPC (I'm using the last version from 02/11/2020) is just not possible, I get an error (and no audio):
Of course, if I change back to 44.1kHz it works, but that isn't correct.
Please, check it out.

Re: Audio playback BUG
Doing some tests, I found out the max it supports is 192kHz @ 32-bit, after that the error shows.

Re: Audio playback BUG
The standard audio renderer does not support more than 192kHz. Use this:
MPC Options > Playback > Output > Audio Renderer > Internal Audio Renderer
Using 384kHz does not have much benefit. Even 92 kHz is already above what your ears can differentiate. Plus almost all audio content is 48kHz or lower.
MPC Options > Playback > Output > Audio Renderer > Internal Audio Renderer

Thanks.
I have many GBytes in 96kHz @ 24-bit files (and beyond), even DSD.
FYI, the DAC supports 768kHz @ 32-bit and DSD512.
