windows media player disappeared and HEVC issues

Windows 10 Dell Alienware, Nvidia Graphics up to date
HEVC mysteriously stopped working I tried a bunch of things, I mistakenly installed Media Player Codec Packs, it wiped out my Windows Media player employer.exe.
I removed Media Player Codec Packs.
I have Windows HEVC Video Extensions and Codec Tweak Tool 6.4.5 K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1532_Mega.
Do you know how I can get wmplayer.exe back? I think this is at the root of my issues.

Windows Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off

There you can remove WMP. Reboot. Then enable it again to re-install it.

HI WMP does not show up in the APPS list, sorry I did not mention that part.

Follow the step-by-step guide below to bring back Windows Media Player:

Open the Settings app.
Go to Apps > Apps and features.
Click on Manage optional features.
Select Add a feature.
Scroll down to Windows Media Player.
Click on Install.
