SP54 Codec not supported.

Greetings, i recently found an old cd with lots of very old videos encoded in this obscure codec. The thumbnails are created correctly with an image from the videos but MPC-HC can't play them. It spits out an error like:
"MPC-HC could not render some of the pins in the graph, etc

I see no reference to this codec in either lav or ffdshow, however, VLC plays them perfectly. Codec statistics say "Sunplus motion jpeg video (SP54)".
Do you know if there is a way of enabling this codec in MPC-HC without installing any dll's like most tutorials on the web suggest? Or is the codec completely missing from LAV/ffdshow?
By the way, i'm kind of a newbie with this stuff.. i may be talking nonsense.

Next version will be able to play it.

LAV can theoretically handle everything that FFmpeg supports. It is usually just a matter of adding the mediatype.
