Codec quality
Hi!
This is something I have wondered about. VLC have its own plugin, there's K-lite and other codec collections. My question is: is there a quality difference between all these codecs? For example: is the mkv codec that is part of K-lite codec pack better than the VLC plugin? Or are they all the same from a image quality standpoint?

Re: Codec quality
There is no quality difference with regard to decoding the video. But there can be small quality difference in rendering the video on the screen. For example by using better scaling algorithms when the video must be resized.
The MPC-HC player from K-Lite in combination with the madVR video renderer offers high quality scaling. But I only recommend madVR for experienced users.
