MediaPlayerClassic on some videos freezes, 100% CPU, K-Lite ver>=1490

On K-Lite Mega codec pack versions >=1490 MediaPlayeClassic video playback freezes when seeking forward or back by clicking on the seek-bar, but audio playback continues normally. Once it freezes, CPU usage goes to 50%, and on a second click to the seek-bar, it goes to 100%. The first click to the seek-bar does change the current video frame.

Even if no seeking is done, video playback freezes after a few seconds and CPU usage is at 50%, then if MPC is closed by the close button, it does appear to close, but its process' CPU usage goes to 100% and have to stop the process.
If the video is paused when it has frozen, CPU usage stays at 50%, audio does pause as normal and resumes and normal when un-paused, but the video stays on the same frame, and as above, CPU usage goes to 100%.

(Tested versions: 1450, 1470, 1484, 1488 (OK) and 1490, 1499, 1512(bad).)
This happens on Windows 7 SP1. K-Lite Mega codec pack, install-setting: Profile 9: Lots of stuff (defaults).
Even happens after resetting settings to defaults in the install menu.

I am reporting this as a bug, and am not really looking for suggestions on solutions - I'll be using version 1488, until it is fixed.

This setting should solve the problem:
MPC-HC options > Subtitles > Maximum texture resolution > Video (or 640x480)

Your old pentium4 isn't fast enough to render at a high resolution.
