K_Lite 1509 using Irvfanview can't capture every frame from MOV file

Using:
-- Windows 10
-- K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1509_Standard.exe
-- Irfanview version 4.52 32 bit

Trying to extract every frame from MOV file either to jpg or png

when, within Irfanview, I do

Options > Capture all frames

I get "Error: Couldn't get movie information (DirectX)"

Any idea how to fix ?

I tried it with IrfanView 4.38 32bit on Windows 7 and it worked ok here. The option is called "Extract all frames" in that older version, but I assume it is the same thing. There also is a screencapture option.

Does the video itself play correctly in Irfanview?

The video plays correctly.

When I have access to Windows 7 machine I will try to see if it works to see if it is an OS difference.

Otherwise I should maybe roll back to Irfanview version you cite.

This might help:
irfanview settings > video > use DirectShow for playing

Works here with Irfanview 4.53 as well.
