problem k-lite mega 1504

updated to 1504 mega on my compaq/hp [win7 x64, AMD/radeon, realtek audio]
the mpc-hc 32bit player wont play any video - just minimizes the play window and only shows black screen in window, but still hear audio track...
downgraded back to 1500 and the player works fine again.
have not tried on other computers yet, but will continue conversation if other machines also glytch with 1504...

the compaq amd computer , both the 32 & 64 bit players actually glytch playing x265 type movies even with the k-lite mega 1500 ...
my big 19" toshi satellite [ win7 x32 with nvidia & intel core duo ] runs okay with the k-lite mega 1504... even playing 1080p x265 movies. [some of the earlier x265 codecs used to give it grief .]

The player and codecs haven't changed between 1500 and 1504.

x265 video (= HEVC a.k.a H.265) requires a fast processor to decode. So it is not surprising that an old computer has trouble playing it.

... but strange thing is the compaq is a newer machine than the satellite, it does have a dual core amd, and faster ram , and more ram as well ...
anyways I'll try later when I'm home from work to put the 1504 back on it and see IF it still gives problems.

There can be a lot of difference in decoding difficulty between files. The resolution and bitrate matter. But also the bitdepth of the video. 10-bit video requires a lot more computations.

I do realise the complexity of video coding/ decoding , I could be called a veteran computer user, with nearly 40 years computing under my belt.

I reloaded 1504 onto that amd computer and it is running now... must have just had an install glytch the other day ...
... and as regards its processor power  - well even though it is a faster cpu and ram etc. I was forgetting it is a "cut down" AMD E mobile cpu. ....
