MP4 playing as audio file

I have a HP 2000 not a great computer but I use it only for movies and tv I had windows 10 on it but it had a lot of issues so I restored to back to 8 and then 8.1 and now it is playing MP4 files as audio only??
I have been using K-lite codec Mega pack for more than 10 years probably closer to 15 and (this latest version 14.9.4 (has some issues that I am not going to go into in this thread) I have never had this happen with MP4 files in all the years of use can anyone tell me how to fix this please and thank you???!!!

If you are using Windows Media Player, then you need to disable Media Foundation with the Codec Tweak Tool. Then it will use the codecs from K-Lite.
