Lost MKV thumbnails

In codec tweak tool, MKV is clean.
When it set, don't saved. No thumbnails for SOME MKV-files. But thay was be in an earlier version

After clean Windows thrumbnails cache, NONE MKV THUMBNAILS

Lost AVI thumbnails in K-Lite Codec Pack 1494 and 1497.
K-Lite Codec Pack 1492 Everything's normal.

Some thumbs are grey/corrupted if you use time offset in thumbnail settings. Set that to 0 until the problem is fixed. With offset % it should work. If not, give a torrent link for a file that doesn't work.

Need to set administrator permissions to full control to
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mkv\ShellEx\{GUID 1}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mkv\ShellEx\{GUID 2}

Next,delete it's

And dk this above with \.mkv,

And delete it too.

Next, start codec tweak tool from k-lite, thumbnails, and set mkv, apply.

All done.

Normally, these keys should already have full access set for administrators. Some other software may have messed with the permissions.

Yes, if thumbnails is showing good.
But in my case, I have 'undefined record' without administrators. And this key was be RED, non-edit color
